About Alison

Alison Morris Roslyn is a storyteller—whether she’s writing children’s books, demystifying the world of wine, or championing women’s health. In the summer of 2025, Alison debuted her first children’s book, Henry The Rockhouse Pelican, a story inspired by real events, written to benefit the Rockhouse Foundation, which transforms the places where children learn in Jamaica. Her journey into nonprofit work began after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. Alison is now building the AC⚡BC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to boosting breast cancer survival rates by providing women with free holistic and integrative support services.

Before diving into philanthropy, Alison dedicated her time to the world of wine, becoming a Level 3 Sommelier, certified by the National Wine School. She also holds a certificate in French Wines from Cornell University and studied Oenology at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. While she’s happiest in Paris, with a glass of French wine in hand, Alison has an appreciation for all great grapes and thinks the best wines are those you enjoy with awesome people.

Alison’s passion for storytelling and human connection started in a newsroom in Paris back in 2001. With over two decades of experience as a journalist in both broadcast and print, she’s written for The Wall Street Journal and the Hartford Courant, and her wine expertise has been featured in Homes & Gardens, Slate, Best Life, Men’s Journal, Chowhound, Delish, and The Takeout. On screen, Alison has anchored and reported for CNBC Europe, KDKA-TV Pittsburgh, Fox 61 Connecticut, Fox 5 New York, MSNBC, and NBC News Now. She still does communications consulting for a select number of high-profile clients.

Alison graduated from Yale University in 2001 and Our Lady of Mercy Academy in 1997.
