Help us empower mid-life visionaries
Threadneedle Alley Foundation is built upon a multi-generational legacy of entrepreneurship. Through our founder’s annual monetary support, the generosity of donors like you, and volunteer hours from our board and mentors, we can help midlife entrepreneurs in financial need pursue their passions, embrace their potential, and bring their ideas to life.
Our commitment
We award at least 3 $5,000 grants each year. Winners are hand-selected by our team.
Entrants must be 40+, US-based, and from underserved communities or in financial need. Grant winners are chosen based on additional criteria, including the potential of their idea, their mission, and their presentation.
Our winners
In addition to the one-time, unrestricted monetary grant, each winner is assigned a lead mentor, also an entrepreneur. The mentor and mentee meet virtually as schedules allow, to discuss progress and tackle challenges.
The winners will also have access to our bench of entrepreneur mentors, who have a broad range of expertise, including brand building, design, marketing, and finance. Our mentors are passionate about helping their fellow visionaries!
The impact of your donation
These are challenging times for small businesses, especially those in underserved communities. A monetary grant and mentorship can help to propel–or save–a small business. We are seeing this play out firsthand!
How to give
Our founders have committed to a total cash donation of $20,000 per year, which covers three $5,000 cash awards and annual operating expenses. But we need your help. We received 450+ applications in our most recent round, so the need to help more entrepreneurs is dire.
We welcome donations from individuals, other non-profits, and businesses. Donations help fund additional grants & support for entrepreneurs, as well as the resources we need to run and grow Threadneedle Alley Foundation, including grant writing & research, podcast production, ongoing web design, and more.
You can donate by accessing our secure GiveLively portal below and choosing between a one-time or recurring donation. To avoid the modest fees, donations can be made fee-free via Zelle to info@threadneedlealley.org.
All donations are tax-deductible. With every donation, we provide a receipt for tax purposes.
Would you like a Threadneedle Alley Foundation grant in the name of your business or foundation, or do you have other thoughts about how we can partner? Reach out to us at info@threadneedlealley.org. We welcome your ideas.
